Regional artisan centres in Cartagena, Lorca and Murcia
See a huge range of hand-crafted artisan products for sale in the three major cities of the Murcia Region
The Region of Murcia has a long history of producing hand-crafted artisan items and was a major stop-off point on the trade routes of Phoenician traders nearly 3,000 years ago, many of the same craft disciplines still produced by skilled craftsmen today.
There are three centres in the Murcia Region which sell a vast range of products created by officially registered regional craftsmen which are open throughout the year, providing a one-stop shop for those who enjoy purchasing and viewing beautiful and practical hand- crafted items.
Many of the artisans participate actively in artisan markets at different times of the year, and the pieces on sale in these centres are sold at the same prices as buying directly from the artisan fairs, but have the added advantage of being open throughout the year and gathering a huge range of items together under one roof in the three cities of Cartagena, Lorca and Murcia.
The centres will giftwrap free of charge and each centre carries a practical selection of small items which travel easily and unobtrusively in a suitcase as gifts and souvenirs, as well as larger pieces which add real personality to any home.
The three centres:
