ARCHIVED - Murcia municipality traders re-open their markets
The traders have done a U-turn and will now open this week
Corvera is NOT included in this list.
After originally announcing that they would not re-open for another week, the vendors in the Murcia municipality have done a U-turn and have resumed trading this week, so street markets in nearly all of the outlying districts of the large Murcia municipality and those servicing the residential districts of the city will open on their normal days, but with reduced capacity and strict hygiene controls.
As with all other markets around the region, entry to the area in which the stalls are located will be restricted, stalls will be spaced apart, all vendors and clients must wear gloves and masks and clients will not be permitted to touch the produce.
Monday:
Algezares, Barqueros, Era Alta, Guadalupe de Maciascoque, La Alberca de Las Torres, Lobosillo, Monteagudo, Rincón de Seca and Sucina.
Tuesday:
Barrio del Progreso, Cabezo de Torres, Cobatillas, El Ranero, La Arboleja, Los Garres, Sangonera la Seca, Santa Cruz and Santiago y Zaraíche.
Wednesday:
Casillas, Churra, El Puntal, La Raya, Los Dolores, San José de la Vega, Torreagüera and Zarandona
Thursday:
Aljucer, Barriomar, El Raal, La Albatalía, Los Ramos, Patiño and Santiago El Mayor.
Friday:
Valladolises, Alquerías, Avileses, Beniaján, Espinardo, Javalí Nuevo, La Ñora, Puebla de Soto, San Ginés and Santo Ángel
Saturday:
El Esparragal, Llano de Brujas and Nonduermas.
The following markets will wait one further week before returning to their normal day:
Puente Tocinos, La Fama, Santa María de Gracia, El Palmar, Sangonera la Verde, Corvera, Ermita del Rosario and San José de La Montaña.
