Following the dramatic DANA storm that caused emergency incidents and even left fatal casualties in Andalucía last week, the weather forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) is for much calmer, brighter and drier conditions.
There will be some spots of rain, but they should only be gentle showers, according to the Aemet’s forecast. They only issue weather warnings a maximum of three days in advance, and so far none have been issued for the next few days.
Temperatures this week will remain stable at similar levels to last week, with maximums during the day of 16-18ºC in higher altitude areas, 19-21ºC on the coast and 22-25ºC in the usual hotspots of Seville and Córdoba.
Maximum temperatures in Andalucía, Monday November 4
At night, there will be lows of 12-15ºC in most areas, but 18-20ºC on the coast of Málaga, Granada and Almería and down to 6-9ºC in the mountains of Granada and Jaén.
Minimum temperatures in Andalucía, Tuesday November 5
Monday November 4 brings mainly clear and sunny conditions to the central and eastern parts of Andalucía, while Huelva, Cádiz and Seville will be cloudier, the only rain coming in the areas closest to the border of Portugal.
Andalucía weather forecast, Monday November 4
The morning of Tuesday 5 brings fog to much of the west, but also Antequera, Almería capital, Baza and other isolated spots. By midday and into the afternoon, though, it will be sunny again for most of the autonomous community, with the only dark rain clouds being in the far west again.
Andalucía weather forecast, Tuesday November 5
On Wednesday 6 it is just the area around Gibraltar that is forecast to receive rain, while the entire rest of Andalucía remains dry and sunny.
Andalucía weather forecast, Wednesday November 6
There will be a little more rain on Thursday 7 as it spreads up to the Costa del Sol, but once again they will only be light showers, according to Aemet, and will not last for long or spread very far.
Andalucía weather forecast, Thursday November 7
Friday 8 promises to be a little darker, with more menacing clouds hanging over western Andalucía and more rain for the coasts of Cádiz and Málaga.
Andalucía weather forecast, Friday November 8
For Saturday 9, Aemet is currently only forecasting rain for the mountainous part of Granada, the Sierra Nevada, and the province of Almería, with the rest staying dry.
Andalucía weather forecast, Saturday November 9
On Sunday 10, that rain could spread to more of the Andalusian coast again, but the long-term weather forecast is difficult to predict and the Aemet is constantly updating its forecasts, so there could be changes to the amount of rain Andalucía can expect this week.
