Corvera airport gets new bus routes to Cartagena and Murcia city

The Region of Murcia International Airport, better known as Corvera, has new bus public transport lines that connect it with the cities of Murcia and Cartagena. Users coming from or heading to the airport will have these services on Mondays and Fridays, according to regional government sources.

Regional Minister of Development, José Manuel Pancorbo, stated this Tuesday January 9, during his visit to the airport accompanied by the general director of Mobility and Transport, María Dolores Solana, that this is a new service that “will be provided to travellers for whom 22,591 euros have been allocated and it will begin next Friday, January 12 until March 25.”

He also explained that the cost of a bus ticket would be 1.85 euros and can be purchased on the bus.

“The objective of the Ministry of Development is to facilitate direct transfer from the airport to the bus stations of Murcia and Cartagena for all those travellers who are heading to their destinations or going to them from these points,” he said.

This bus service will run only on two days a week, and most of the flights that will coincide with the bus times are domestic flights within Spain, although there will be some international flights that will benefit from it.

According to the Regional Government, while this bus service will come to an end shortly before the summer flight season begins in April 2024, there will be more and expanded public transport for the summer season.
