ARCHIVED - Archena hit just under 35 degrees on Thursday
The Andalucía and Murcia Regions were the hottest places in Spain
Image: the lovely Balneario in Archena, sadly closed at the moment! Roll on the “new normal”.
Archena was the hottest municipality in the Murcia region on Thursday, hitting 34.6 degrees Celsius at 7pm in the evening, with Zarzadilla de Ramos in the high wheat growing area of Lorca not far behind with 33.8 at 8pm.
Both areas are expected to remain in the low 30’s for the next three days as a warm anticyclone brings stability to the region.
However, the neighbouring Andalucía Region recorded the highest temperatures on Thursday; Coín in Málaga the hottest place in Spain with 35.5 and Écija in Seville not far behind with 35.1.
