700 native beach species planted in San Juan de los Terreros, Pulpí
The Town Council continues its project for the conservation, recovery and reforestation of the 'Lirio de Mar'
The Almería town of Pulpí is continuing with its push for a better environmental landscape for the community and for future generations – with the help from volunteers and school children, they managed to plant 700 plant species native to the San Juan de los Terreros area with great success. The work was carried out with the conservation of the area in mind, and with the full support of the local community.
The defence and protection of the natural environment has become a priority for many town councils. Continuing with the project of conservation, recovery and reforestation of the so-called Sea Lily, the planting of more than 700 tuberoses has been carried out in Pulpí. The work comes as a continuation of the reforesting of natural spaces and was possible with the collaboration of the company Primaflor, which kindly donated the plants, as well as the staff of the Pulpí Town Hall.
Representatives of Primaflor, along with volunteers from the local area and even first-year school children from the San Miguel school in San Juan de los Terreros have been in charge of planting the plants on the beaches of La Entrevista, Los Nardos and Mar Rabiosa.
